Hollow Metal Fixed and Telescopic Window frame
Door Frames & Lite kits
All frames are custom fabricated per the job requirements, shop drawings with field verified measurements are required. View window frames can be fabricated as a welded unit or as a two piece telescopic frame. Lite kits can be supplied in a variety of sizes to meet the viewing needs in any door. Single or multiple mullions can be welded in frames to accommodate large size viewing areas. All frames and Lite kits are factory lined with the appropriate thickness lead and are supplied prime coated. Stud mounting clips and glazing bead are also included.
Hollow metal door frames can be supplied in a variety of sizes to meet your specific need. Constructed of 16 gauge steel, the inside of the frame is lined with the appropriate amount of lead sheet. These frames can be supplied as knock down type or welded and are also prepped per the hardware schedule. We also can supply a 90 minute fire label if needed.
Radiation Glass
LX - 57B: 7mm thick, Lead-Barium type, minimum 60%
Heavy metal Oxide, 55% Lead Oxide, 87.8% light Transmission, Attenuation equal to 1.59mm of lead from 60 to 150 kV.
LX - 57B: 11mm thick, Lead-Barium type, minimum 60% Heavy metal Oxide, 55% Lead Oxide, 87.8% light Transmission, Attenuation equal to 2.5mm of lead from 60 to 150 kV
LX - 57B: 14 mm thick, Lead-Barium type, minimum 60% Heavy metal Oxide, 55% Lead Oxide, 87.8% light Transmission, Attenuation equal to 3.0mm of lead from 60 to 250 kV
For use at doors, and other areas where breakage is a possiblity, we recommend
Safe - T - Lite / LX - 57B Shatter Resistant 11mm Nominal thickness.
3 ply laminated glazing consisting of 7mm Leaded Glass, Interlayer of Polyvinyl/Tri-ethylene, and 3mm Float glass.
X-ray glass can be supplied in 1/32", 1/16", and 1/8" lead equivalents to match the shielding requirements in the partition or door that it is installed in. For thicker lead equivalents, more than 1 piece may be used in a single frame. Glass can be cut to fit any size frame opening up to 48" x 96".
Clear lead acrylic Pb can be supplied as an alternative to lead equivalent glass when breakage is a concern such as in mobile barriers or temporary treatment facilities.
